ASIC 2
The ASIC 2 course covers snow and ice management, focusing on material science, de-icer management, and heavy equipment operations.
It prioritizes safety and precision through training on equipment inspections, operational techniques, and record-keeping.
Enrollment requires completion of ASIC 1.
ASIC 3
The ASIC 3 course trains crew leaders in key leadership and technical skills for managing snow and ice teams. It includes pre-season inspections, salt management, and weather monitoring.
Focusing on communication and accountability, it prepares leaders to manage contracts and perform post-event inspections.
Complete ASIC Level 1 and 2 to enrol.
Train the Trainer
The Train the Trainer program is the premier ASIC certification for industry leaders looking to enhance expertise within their organizations.
This intensive course covers the ASIC 1, 2, and 3 curriculum, ensuring mastery of the material.
Participants also learn adult learning principles, presentation skills, and seminar facilitation, graduating as certified ASIC instructors ready to deliver top-notch training and certification.
Legacy Examption
Registering for our Legacy Exemption course lets you fast track to the top!
As a Legacy Exempt user, you'll enjoy the same access as someone who has completed ASIC 3 and can take Train The Trainer.
To apply, you should have at least 3 years of industry experience.
By signing up, you also gain access to our exclusive book and can take the Legacy Exemption exam.

Chris Morrison
Co-Founder / Instructor
Chris Morrison brings over 30 years of experience as a Certified Insurance Professional, a former Canadian Armed Forces Officer (Canadian Decoration), and a licensed Elevating Device Mechanic. He has dedicated his career to improving safety standards across industries, including snow and ice management and elevating devices.

Jon Agg
Co-Founder
Jon Agg runs PPM, a full-service property maintenance company headquartered in Ajax, Ontario, with satellite locations in Brighton, Kingston, Ottawa, Lindsay, and Huntsville. PPM also sub-contracts with over 150 service providers across the province, giving Jon valuable insight into challenges facing the Snow and Ice Industry.

Gerald Boot
Co-Founder
Gerald Boot is the President, CEO, and founder of Boot’s Landscaping and Maintenance Ltd., established in 1981. A Certified Landscape Manager (CLM), he built the company into a full-service grounds management provider specializing in year-round care for condominiums. The Boot’s Group also includes Ecosense Irrigation Solutions Inc. and Yorkshire Garden Services Ltd.

Matt Cowley
Co-Founder
Matt Cowley has been a licensed insurance broker since 2017, specializing in commercial insurance for complex, high-exposure industries. He focuses on affinity programs, hard-to-place risks, and self-insured retention (SIR) programs, building custom insurance solutions tailored to operational and regulatory challenges.

Terry Robertson
Co-Founder
Terry Robertson is the Chief Operations Manager at TCG National Inc., a leader in the Snow and Ice Management industry with over 30 years of experience. TCG National operates 19 franchises across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and works with national service partners in Ontario, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Alberta, and British Columbia.

Mark Jackson
Co-Founder
With over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, Mark Jackson is one of Canada’s leading voices in risk management for snow and ice contractors. Since 2002, he has worked closely with snow professionals nationwide, helping them manage risk, improve safety practices, and drive industry-wide education and standards.

Jim Monk
Co-Founder
Jim Monk is the owner and president of Markham Property Services Ltd. (MPS), based in Markham, Ontario. He has been involved in the snow and ice industry since high school and brings decades of hands-on experience. Jim is also an active contributor to trade associations including Landscape Ontario (LO) and the Snow and Ice Management Association (SIMA).

Alex Morrison
Co-Founder
Alexander Robert Morrison is an experienced insurance professional with Morrison Risk and Claims Services, an insurance adjusting firm. For the past three years, he has been a key contributor to ASIC—helping to develop core resources like training programs, risk evaluation tools, and safety handbooks for the snow and ice industry.

Jack VandeRee
Co-Founder
Jack VandeRee currently serves as Vice-President at Boot’s Landscaping and Maintenance Ltd. He began his journey in horticulture at a young age while working for his uncle’s landscape firm. After completing a three-year program at Humber College, Jack joined Boot’s in 1986 and became one of Ontario’s first Certified Horticulture Technicians.

Jamie Shankland
Admin
Jamie spent over nine years building a well-rounded career in the elevator industry, with a focus on education, safety, and operations. She oversaw the day-to-day operations of an elevator training academy, where she helped design and deliver comprehensive programs for technicians, apprentices, and office staff.
